Beyond architecture, Lucy is a practising artist working in acrylics — vibrant still lifes, florals, and landscapes.

The creative eye behind the design

Lucy's art studio brings a unique creative perspective to her architectural work. Working primarily in acrylics on canvas and board, her paintings are characterised by bold colour, joyful subjects, and a love of light.

Much of my work begins with everyday subjects: flowers, fruit, playful arrangements, and patterns that catch my eye. Through acrylic paint, I exaggerate colour and rhythm, allowing intuition to lead the process. Some paintings are larger and immersive, while others are smaller, more spontaneous pieces where I experiment with pattern, repetition, and colour combinations that really pop.

Painting is my way of responding to the world — a balance of structure and freedom, perhaps influenced by my background in architecture, but always driven by feeling. I love how colour can shift a mood, lift the spirit, and invite conversation. Many of these works have been created in the flow of family life, music playing, doors open, and ideas evolving organically.
